BOOKED: Cake

 Piece of Cake by Ria

Finally, I booked our wedding cake supplier no other than Ms. Ria Cristoria Caballes of Piece of Cake by Ria. She was accommodating and very shy. I'm very much excited to see her final output for my cake although the design was simple yet my instruction was a bit complicated :D
These are my new pegs for the cake: A three-layered fondant cake but only one layer will be pure cake the rest will be styro to cut cost since it's very expensive to have it all in cake. The flavor is carrot walnut cake with 14, 10, 6 inches dimension.

Base Layer
Second Layer but in Midnight Blue stripes
D & J (infinity symbol instead of "&")
My aunt sponsored our wedding cake, and thanks to her we saved Php6,000 from our budget. :)

Prenup Stylist Free

 Cuckoo Clouds Concept
I was super happy and excited at the same time, when sir Lloyed told me that he will pay for our prenup stylist. This was really a blessing because not only I save money from our budget, it actually cut my stress. Another thing that makes me more excited, was the fact that sir Lloyed, booked Cuckoo Clouds Concept, they are one of the best stylist here in Cebu.
I'm very thankful to sir Lloyed because he really helped me achieve my dream shoot. Our theme for the shoot by the way is "Four Seasons", and I can't wait to see Cuckoo Clouds Concept's pegs.

our wedding cord

Since I really admire the works of Project Dream Wedding (PDW), I ordered our personalized wedding cord from them, a free-style cord made of acrylic and glass accent beads of colors midnight blue and apple green. The full payment was done last January 30, and the production will take 3-5 weeks depending on the availability of the materials.
Just, July 27 PDW emailed me and sent me pictures of the materials that will be used for my wedding cord. Although the beads were nice, however I'm not so satisfied with the color because I want it to be in midnight blue color not navy blue, but since I agreed with their terms and conditions so I cannot take back the money I paid. I'm still hopeful that they will deliver the wedding cord that I expected.
Here are the materials that will be used:
Beads and the Initials
Trinkets

My Shoes!

Finally! after waiting for months, I had my first fitting yesterday! I love the shoes, it's simple yet I find it elegant. It's comfortable to wear and just perfect for my size.
Thanks Shandar !
Also, I ordered custom-made clutch bag with the same material used for my shoes, a little bit pricey at P2,000 but I know it's worth the price. :) I will post the details as soon as I get my shoes and my clutch  bag.

who will be my cake supplier???

I really had a hard time deciding who will bake our wedding cake. Among the choices were The Cupcake Theory, Got Cake and LMG Pastry Chef for fondant cakes. For the icing cakes, my choices were Cakes & Memories of Ms. Janet Caballes, Ms. Judy Gonzaga and Ms. Ria Caballes. However, Dwyt and I already trimmed down our choices to suppliers who will be doing the icing cakes because we don't like fondant aside that it's too expensive, we also don't like the taste of it.
Our wedding cake budget is only Php 7,000 for a 4-layered cake and only Ms. Janet Caballes of Cakes & Memories and Ms. Ria Caballes (they are not related to each other) gave me their quotation. It will be a 14", 11", 8", 5" for Ms. Janet and 16", 12", 8", 6" in diameter for Ms. Ria. So the question now, who will be my cake supplier?
Over the weekend, I had the chance to visit Cakes and Memories' booth in SM Tradehall and was able to taste their moist chocolate cake with caramel filling. Dwyt and I liked the taste of it however, when I met the owner Ms. Janet, I'm not so comfortable talking with her. She has this intimidating aura although she was nice to talked with but I just got this first impression of uneasiness. But in fairness to her, their cake really taste good and they're affordable too.
Well, I just hope that first week of March I will be able to meet my other supplier Ms. Ria for a cake tasting and hopefully I will be comfortable talking with her.
